Who are we ?

The International Coalition for the Decade is a non profit association created in order to promote the Decade for the Promotion of a Culture of Peace and Non-Violence in the world. It gathers associations wishing to contribute to the promotion of the culture of peace and non-violence (art. 2 of its statute).

The association wishes to further the passage from a culture of violence to a culture of non violence, for the well-being of the children and teenagers of the world.

It gathers 11 international associations, 3 observing members, 8 national coalitions, and received the support of 13 personalities among which 4 Nobel Peace Prize Laureates, who are members of its Honorary Board.

It has several missions, and among its numerous aims, it particularly wants to furhter non-violence and peace education.

Our organisation

The association is managed by an International Committee composed of 10 members representing 10 member associations. All the member associations and coalitions are invited to attend a General Assembly every year.

The secretariat is located in 148, rue du Faubourg Saint-Denis in Paris. Estelle Ribier is in charge of it.

The projects of the Coalition are managed by commissions, working groups gathering some members of the member associations.
