It is a considerable overhang towards a non-violent education for the children. Indeed, before this vote, the corporal punishments were forbidden in the schools and in the prisons but they were not formally forbidden in the families. The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe requests all its members to adopt a legislation which would be a guarantee for this ban.
