Member organisations and partners ’s activities

The International Network’s members are organizing and celebrating the International Day of Peace.

Here are some examples of International Day of Peace these past years:

  • Art Miles mural Project in Egypt

The international Network was in partnership with Art miles mural project "Exhibition for the Century", Which took place in le Cairo on september 21st.
The aim was to bring together all these frescos at the foot of the Pyramids in Egypt.

  • In the Nederlands.

Platform voor een Cultuur van Vrede en Geweldloosheid was involved in several activities: They organized a workshop on peace education, especially on non-competetive games related to peace culture. One of their member was co-organising the Seeds of Change festival, a big market with emphasis on the ideals of sustainability, peace, human rights and equity.

-* In Canada, The Canadian coalition for the Decade wad organizing for the IDP a Peace Picnic in Montreal, Sunday, September 19 th.

  • In France
    The french Coalition joined the September 21st collective. Many events are forcasted for the sunday 19th and for the 21st.
    the collectif took inventory of the differents events organized in the differents french towns.

The french coalition also launched its 15 days period in between International Day of Peace and International Non violence Day.

  • Internationaly,
    Our member Pax Christi has joined over a thousand of organisation in the campaign "A million minutes for Peace". The organizations call upon every body to join them and stop at noon to pray for peace.
